KA60 WELL FLOW TESTING

This is notice of Ngati Tuwharetoa Geothermal Assets Limited (NTGA) intended well testing works which are scheduled to commence on Monday 18th January 2021.

NTGA have engaged Western Energy Services Ltd to undertake the flow testing of our Geothermal Production Well KA60 on the site located at 15 Manukorihi Drive in Kawerau.

The flow testing is scheduled for a period of approximately 5 days and will be carried out 24 hours a day until completion.

We do not anticipate any disruption to surrounding business activities. The test equipment is designed to muffle noise and eliminate water carry over however there may be steam drifting across the area for periods of time during the testing. This is a normal occurrence.

A comprehensive emergency response plan has been developed which documents procedures for all foreseeable emergencies associated with the testing works.  The procedures are known to all workers and are regularly trialled to ensure they remain effective.  In the highly unlikely event of any operational emergency, NTGAL shall ensure sufficient communication with all neighbouring businesses.
