Kawerau Amateur Swimming Club - Learn to Swim Programme

One of Ngati Tuwharetoa (BOP) Settlement Trust (the Trust) strategic objectives is “Grow our People” and we are working towards this objective by providing an opportunity to participate in a Learn to Swim Programme currently undertaken by the Kawerau Amateur Swimming Club.
This programme is designed to educate children aged between 0 to 10 years old on the essentials of being water safe and developing their key swimming skills from entry, balance, buoyancy, breathing and water safety in a safe and fun environment.
All swimming instructors hold a National Certificate in Recreation and Sport (Aquatics) and are supervised by a Learn to Swim Co-Ordinator.
Classes will run from Monday 13 February 2017 – Friday 24 February 2017 and will be held at the Kawerau Mauri Kjar Memorial Swimming Pool Complex, Plunket Street, Kawerau.
In order to participate in this programme you must be:
1 Aged between 0 and 10 years old; and
2 A current beneficiary on the Ngati Tuwharetoa (BOP) Settlement Trust Register.
